I'm looking for people who are willing to challenge members of the Joint Finance Committee to find out what life is like "on the other side of the windshield". I'm calling it the "Feet First!" challenge. I believe that if enough of us challenge our Legislators, some will actually "pick up the gauntlet"; others will realize they can't afford it politically to blow off non-motorists and lite-motorists; and in any case the media will pick it up and make it an ongoing political issue. I have attended quite a few Legislative hearings, and the tactic I have in mind is very different than anything else I've seen.
