UW's Lakeshore Nature Preserve will be conducting prescribed burns in several
places between now and May 15. There is one section planned for a burn between
Willow Creek and Willow Beach that is adjacent to the Lakeshore Path.
That section of the Lakeshore Path will be actively patrolled by Lakeshore
Nature Preserve staff during the burn. They plan to keep the path open to
traffic at all times, though the path may be narrowed until the burn progresses
further south from the edge of the path (and smoke becomes less of an issue).
Please slow down and exercise caution if you're in the neighborhood when this
is happening.
thanks
