Correction-digging will begin bright and early tomorrow (Wed) morning, so the barricades will be going up some time tonight. For the moment, the Lakeshore Path is passable. But that will not be the case beginning tomorrow morning.
As I'm sure most of you are aware, the alternatives to the Lakeshore Path for through cyclists are not ideal. You can ride hilly Observatory Dr, or you can use University Ave (or any of the campus streets in between). But the Lakeshore Path will be detoured from the service drive to Limnology at Park St as far west as the Lakeshore dorms near Porter Boathouse. Please don't ignore the detour signs, you will not be able to get through.
