Not many details right now. An 11-year-old Madison boy suffered significant injuries Monday morning when he was struck by a car while riding a bicycle.
The crash at about 9:15 a.m. on University Avenue at Ridge Street shut down several eastbound lanes of the busy avenue as crews worked at the scene, Madison police said. Police did not find a bicycle helmet at the crash site. Police spokesman Howard Payne said the investigation into the crash is continuing, and witnesses are being interviewed to see what happened. No information about the car driver was released. http://host.madison.com/news/local/crime_and_courts/bicyclist-hit-by-car-on-university-avenue-police-say/article_0fc0815c-3aa1-5a66-9095-a45152656564.html Robbie Webber Transportation Policy Analyst 608-263-9984 (o) 608-225-0002 (c) [email protected] All opinions expressed are my own and do not necessarily reflect those of my employer or any other group with which I am affiliated.
