Yes, do check out the lighting products Peter White Cycles carries. Some of those products are designed for open/back road touring in the middle of the night. They illustrate options and possibilities. I spend 92% of my time on city streets. There is plenty of lighting in the city after dark. A knog 4 led blinky pointed down approximately 5 degrees works.
