And now an announcement from a Bike Fed Board member:

If you are a Bike Fed member, please vote
<http://board.wisconsinbikefed.org/>! Candidates often win or lose by one
or two votes, so you really can make a difference in the outcome of the
Board of Directors of the statewide bicycle advocacy organization.

If you are not a member, you can still vote! Just join Bike Fed, and then
vote. Yes, you can buy the right to vote in this election.

As far as my recommendations (which people always ask me about), I am only
going to give one specific one and some guidelines. There are always more
good candidates than there are spaces, so below is the one person I'm
really pushing for and why.

FWIW, I would be especially excited about *Steve Hiniker* joining the
board. He has a wealth of experience with multiple non-profits, the
transportation/land-use link, and forming working partnerships and
coalitions with other organizations. I've been trying to get him to run for
the Bike Fed board for a long time, and would be a fantastic addition.

I also want to see good gender and geographic diversity on the board. As
far as I can tell, we aren't going to get any racial diversity on this
round, but maybe some people have experience with underserved communities
or other groups that currently aren't well represented.

Read the profiles and their answers and make your own choices, but make
sure to vote!!!

As far as others, you can ask me off-line about anyone else, and if I know
them, I'll give you my opinion. I don't know all the candidates, but do
know the incumbents and several other non-incumbents. As I said, there are
more good candidates than spaces available.
