One in four Madison residents is non white. ( Fitchburg's demographics are comparable.) More than half of the students in the MMSD are not white. But do we see comparable numbers bicycling on Madison's paths and streets?
I interviewed some people who provided insights as to why so few people of color ride. A summary is enclosed. A more complete report is available.
