so, if this is pretty much an acknowledged fact, why do city "leaders" still force is citizens to subsidize commuters who insist on driving to the downtown? Why don't we put a moratorium on providing more and more parking in the downtown area and see if these developers will actually move to the sprawlburbs? -- Last month I was fined $1221 by the city for having wildflowers in my terrace and a burning bush in my yard. The trial occurred more than three months after the city council approved the "Pollinator Protection Task Force" report which seeks to protect pollinators--bees, butterflies, moths, bats, hummingbirds, etc., and preserve pollinator habitat But the city's Building Inspection Division continues to order plantings that pollinators use removed and is prosecuting people such as me who don't comply. I have drafted a petition that I would like others to sign: http://www.petitionbuzz.com/petitions/revise-ordinances-banning-flowers-in-yards-and-terrace (note you do not need to live in the Atwood neighborhood to sign.)
