Do you want to help getting Madison's bike network into OpenStreetMap, the project that creates and distributes free geographic data for the world? Join us for this Mapathon where we will use official data from the Metropolitan Planning Organization and your local knowledge to add bike infrastructure data to OpenStreetMap. This is in partnership with Places for Bikes, a national effort to update the bike network information across the country. Madison is leading the way by trying to get the best information on our existing bike network and conditions. Toole Design Group has developed guidelines that we will use, but we need your local knowledge of what is on the ground now. No knowledge of OpenStreetMap is needed. If you have a laptop, please bring it. Pizza provided. More information, and to RSVP (so we'll have a rough count of how many to expect) here: http://www.madisonbikes.org/openstreetmap_mapathon_map_ madison_s_bike_network Robbie Webber Transportation geek All opinions are my own, and not necessarily those of any group or organization with which I am affiliated.
