Starting 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 30th, InterCon Construction will close eastbound East Mifflin Street traffic between North Few Street and North Baldwin Street (1200 block) in order to install underground utilities for Madison Gas & Electric. Westbound traffic will remain open. An eastbound bicycle detour will be signed to direct bicyclists to East Dayton Street. This is part of a project that will also include the 1100 block and the 1300 block. Only one block will be worked on at a time. The East Mifflin Street intersections of North Few Street, North Baldwin Street and North Dickinson Street will all need to close for approximately two weeks each during this project. The intersection closures will not occur simultaneously. Additional news releases will be sent as work progresses to different blocks.
