Putting feelers out- I have a new acquaintance friend who is not on Bikies
and I said I'd put a query out for him: Gary just got back into cycling for
the first time last year after a spinal cord injury. He has an adapted
tricycle recumbent and would like to start up again this season and is
looking for a) slow roll or community bike rides that have a variable pace-
he can maintain an average 7mph right now and is hoping to steadily
increase that throughout the season to 10-12mph. And b) cycling buddies for
a weekly bike ride (or more) - folks who are ok with going or are limited
to going at a slow pace (~7mph pace) and also want to try to push him and
themselves to slowly increase the pace. Gary is interested in riding up to
5 or 6 days/week (he's retired, so time is not a limiting factor). If you
know of regularly scheduled or one-off slow-paced rides or would be
interested in being a cycling buddy, let me know and I'll pass along the
information. Thanks all!
