Hi All, In the realm of dogs to watch out for, I have twice in the past 2 weeks been aggressively chased by a mean Pit Bull (or similar) that resides on the south end of Danks Rd (#104), close to the intersection with Old Stage Rd. This is near Cooksville, and south of Stoughton. It has chased me on both roads at high speed (22+ mph) with serious growling and barking. Just this morning I called both Dane Co. Public Safety and the County Sheriffs Office to lodge a formal complaint of an aggressive "dog at large."
Regarding pepper spray, there are a number of small units that can easily fit in your hand (or jersey pocket) and that are common for runners to carry. Fleet Feet in Cross Plains usually has them in stock. I have used such a unit on a dog (while running), and it was very effective, but the owner was really pissed off.
