Phase 3, planned for 2020, from Seminole Highway to the Verona Road frontage road, is delayed until 2020 specifically so that storm water engineering plans can be completed. Two big problems to solve:

1. Sheet flow over the Cap City State Trail between the Velo UnderRound and the Dawley Bike Hub connecting path leading to marshy conditions in good weather and ice hazards in winter

2. Transporting storm water during "gully washer" events from the ponds to the west safely past the roundabout to Dunn's Marsh

The roundabout will be redesigned and rebuilt during this process. I don't know what the new design will look like, but I hope we still have the unique roundabout.

From what I understand there are plans to improve drainage, particularly at the bike roundabout.

I finally got back to the newly repaved section of the Capitol City
    trail - nice!

I think they will be continuing with the section west of Seminole Hwy.
Does anyone know if they will be addressing the permanently swampy
    area ?
