A few more details:
I know "checkpassword-pam" works correctly:

When I rename the conf file, binc doesn't complain about not being able to
find it. It just gives me the same error.
Update:
When I *just* specify "--logtype" and "--conf" as options, binc seems to
have no troubles. Is the argument-parsing system not working properly?
