I'm having the same problem. I've tried a few different clients, here's what I've found:

Works-
Thunderbird 0.5 20040208 Linux
Mozilla 1.6 20040113 Linux
Mail 1.3.7 Mac OSX

Doesn't Work-
Mozilla 1.5.1 20031120 Mac OSX
Thunderbird 0.5 20040208 Mac OSX
Mozilla 1.6 Windows 2k

I haven't tried Tbird on Windows yet. That's the one that worries me; I don't yet have a Windows client that will work reliably with binc.

"Doesn't work" means that I can't access some or all subfolders, some or all of the time. I have tried creating a new subfolder, then all of the subfolders in that folder suddenly show up. But that's going to get real tiring after doing it on all my clients on all my machines. Especially since I can't seem to delete the temporary subfolders...

None of these clients seem to have issues accessing subfolders on a server running Courier IMAP.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Joel

Thunderbird 0.5 20050207 is working fine with in my setup (1.2.3 with IMAPdir), both with folders created by Thunderbird and by other MUAs. I don't have any suggestions as to what might help you; just wanted to let you know that Thunderbird's working fine (actually much better than OE and Eudora, IMO).

Correction, I'm also using 0.5 (20040207).
Actually forgot I had upgraded ..
Sorry
