1.2.6final worked fine for me but 1.2.7final is giving me grief. I haven't had much of a chance to play around with it, however my issue appears to be different from yours, as I am actually able to authenticate, but bincimapd is failing somewhere and exiting 111. Anyways, I'm posting to say that yes, bincimap can work with vmailmgr.
