Binc answers with only the EXISTS to the EXPUNGE command. So it does seem that the message was erased, but for some reason it wasn't reported. I have to reproduce this, but can't. If you can reproduce it, please see if you can provide an strace dump of bincimapd as the bug occurs. I know it's not trivial to do this, but it's really the only way I can see what's happening behind the scenes right now. In 1.3 I'll add a --with-debug configure switch which will make Binc dump lots of useful stuff to the logs, so it'll be easier to debug these problems. But today we'll have to stick with strace.
