Hi,

I have been using BincIMAP for quite some time now, quite successfully mostly. Over the last couple of weeks I have had a few problems with email attachments though. Mainly .jpg and .png (sales brochures, family pictures) - they have either been corrupted or sometimes the email appears to be unreadable until I restart Thunderbird.

My boss sent me some photos today to add to our research group's web site, and I could view most of them but then it disappeared again. I then tried downloading them through SquirrelMail which I have set up on my server. The same problem happened where the pictures were being corrupted, or not downloaded at all.

I then dusted off the old courier-imap server, and I was then able to download and save the attachments without any problems. So it appears to be some kind of problem with the BincIMAP server.

I am using BincIMAP 1.2.8final, with Thunderbird 0.7.1, and also SquirrelMail 1.4.3a. Some emails are also unreadable until I restart Thunderbird. I am using IMAPdir depots too. What would be the best way to gather information about why this is happening? I am starting BincIMAP from xinetd also.

Thanks for such a great IMAP server - hopefully I will be able to figure this out so that I don't have to return to CourierIMAP ;)

Marcus
