This message shows up if two clients scan the same mailbox, and only one gets the lock but doesn't release it. It could be that Binc actually crashes, or that it's just taking forever to scan a mailbox. The mailboxes are dot-locked, so NFS is not a problem. I'll have to study this further this weekend (I'm clogged up completely at work these days). Hope you can wait, and perhaps you can look more into the MacBiff issue - maybe you can reproduce the problem reliably?
