Sorry, my mistake. The "1300" mailbox has really more than 9000...
So, could this be the problem? The partition is reiserfs and has more
than 3G still free.

The error is that Binc logs this as an error, possibly a crash. The code shows me that Binc tries to lock the mailbox, but if the mailbox is already locked, it logs this line, sleeps one second, then tries again (possibly logging the same message again).

Yes, but the problem is that the mailbox is not served.
So for multiaccessed mailboxes, it's very likely that this goes into your
logs. I'm going to flag this as a bug and have it fixed for the next
release of Binc. Until then, simply ignore this message in the logs. It's
most likely no crash at all, just two simultaneous clients trying to
access the same maildir.

No, just one client!
This is a low-level session example:

It appears that the logs are OK (well, consistent with the session,
anyway):

Is it possible that some of the bincimap-* files in the maildir is
corrupted? If so, is there something I can do about it?

Jorge
