(Not sure if this made it through yesterday -archives are not showing it.)
Ok, I've got 1.2.11 (debian package) - so I hope the easy answer to this will be it's fixed in CVS ;) I set up a server last week for a small company, I've managed to persuade at least one person to start using thunderbird, but the rest are holding out with outlook express for a reasons that totally escape me. The main reason for changing from uw-imap to bincimap was due to the fact they had mailboxes averaging ~0.5Gb (you can imagine how bad uw was) This week they started reporting problems on the Outlook express clients. - Messages moved from INBOX to a IMAP folder would revert to it's original location after you pressed send/recieve - Deleted Messages (marked as deleted) or seen messages would revert to undeleted or seen, after you pressed send/recieve. After some diagnostics I discovered the moving folder issue only occured when using the "Edit"=>"Move to folder", or right clicking and selecting move to folder (it didnt occur when you drag the messages from list the folder on the left.) It appears to be fixed with Outlook express 6.0.28, but all the win98/me etc. machines appear only to use 6.0.27. Anyway, now for the juicy bit.. - the protocol log http://devel.akbkhome.com/bincimaplog.html I've highlighted it a bit to illustrate the different connections interacting. - there are a few comments (although may not be absolutedly correct). Without knowng binc's internals, I'm guessing that this is caused by one of the following: = two or three threads talking to the same client, giving different answers, as they either dont share the cached status of the inbox? = STORE called on an expunged message is returning OK even though it doesnt exist? It would be good to go back and fix this one, as bincimap has a elegant simplicty from an installation point of view (and I'm sure the codes got to be cleaner the UW ;) Regards Alan -- Alan Knowles <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
