The IMAP protocol specifies a maximum inactive period of 30 minutes
for every connection. Binc closes the connection after 30 minutes.

I guess Outlook just doesn't say anything, or maybe it tries to send
IDLE commands to keep the connection alive, but they aren't supported
in Binc 1.2? Perhaps Binc should count all network input as activity,
or would that be against the protocol spec?

This problem can have alot with the IDLE command i think. We are currently testing binc 1.2 and we are getting some problems with some mailprograms and I think its their incapability to handle an error from the IDLE command.


So you could blame binc or you could blame the badly made mailclients =)
