Right - Thanks for pointing it out. I inherited a lot of zones and never went back and changed them. The @ is something I do use in alias zones - we have a couple hundred domains and many of them go to the same IP and using @ I'm able to use a single zone file to incorporate the ones that all go to the same IP for the domain.
