Yes, it has, but FreeBSD-7.2 is rather old and not supported. FreeBSD is now at 8.2 and includes 9.6-ESV-R4. 7.4 is also fully supported and has 9.4-ESV. Of course, as you mention, the ports are more current. It has several versions including 9.7.3 and 9.8.0. (Lots of people avoid .0 releases of anything.) -- R.
