"Beneath" in this case refers to the namespace tree diagram. Think of an upside-down tree structure, with the root at the top. Then "10.in-addr.arpa" is beneath "in-addr.arpa", and (more importantly in this case, as Evan pointed out) "100.10.in-addr.arpa" is beneath "10.in-addr.arpa".
