| There can be multiple ESV at the same time.
The 9.18 EOL will happen around the time 9.22 is out. But if you hadn’t started the preparation to upgrade yet, I can’t see how the information whether it will happen in May or July changes anything. I can already tell that 9.18 will not become EOL in May.

The chart on that page was what I was referring to. It seems to indicate that 9.20 was scheduled to be the ESV version in 25 Q2, but 9.18 still seems to be listed as the ESV. Mostly I was hoping to find out if there was a specific date for the 9.18 EOL as
“26 Q2” is a pretty broad window.

What is your source of information? Every BIND release is supported for four years and ESV rubber stamp just means that we curate the fixes more carefully. The chart in the KB is correct:

We’ve been running BIND 9.18 ESV for a few years, and according to the planned release chart on the ISC website, 9.18 is due to go End of Life sometime in the second quarter this year, with 9.20 being the new ESV. However, the chart also indicates that 9.20
was scheduled to become the ESV version last year, which did not happen.
Does anyone know if there an updated timeline / release date for that ESV switch from 9.18 to 9.20, and for 9.18 to officially go EOL?
Thanks,
Brian
