There can be multiple ESV at the same time. The 9.18 EOL will happen around the time 9.22 is out. But if you hadn’t started the preparation to upgrade yet, I can’t see how the information whether it will happen in May or July changes anything. Every BIND release is supported for four years and ESV rubber stamp just means that we curate the fixes more carefully.
