POSITION:                     Web Applications Programmer

WORK LOCATION:        Cilandak Campus       
PURPOSE

Working under the Technology Coordinator and Web Applications Lead, the
Web Applications Programmer will be responsible for developing and
modify Internet and Intranet based applications. They will also be
required to work directly with JIS faculty on support issues.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCES
Indonesian citizenA thorough knowledge of MySQL and Oracle  databases and SQL 
programmingA thorough knowledge of PHP, XML  and XSL development on the 
server-sideA thorough knowledge of JavaScript  (AJAX), CSS and XHTML 
client-side developmentExperienced working in both  Windows and Unix 
environmentsUnderstands the PHPDoc  documentation system and the necessity of 
and contributing to coding standardsKnowledge and experience with the  Moodle 
virtual learning environment, WordPress blogs and Google Apps is an  
advantageDisplays strong organization  skillsAbility to quickly learn existing  
web applications (e.g. Rubicon Atlas)Able to write and speak EnglishExcellent 
oral/written  communication, analytical and problem solving skillsCapable of 
working in a  high-pressure work environmentWilling to make a commitment to  
learning about the organizational structures and culture of the school
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop,  update and maintain applications that support the educational, 
administrative  and communications goals of the schoolUse  existing content 
management systems to updating content on the JIS websitesAssists  in physical 
and logical database designIdentifies  system deficiencies and recommends 
solutionsTo  monitor web server and site technical performanceUnderstands  
project and development plans and is able to clearly articulate roles, project  
goals, and timelinesAdheres  to coding standards defined by technical 
managementAccurately  employs the schools’ development toolsEstablishes  
responsible deadlines and personal work plansCreate  and maintain thorough 
documentation for the life cycle of projects (planning,  development, testing 
and deployment)Shares  acquired skills with team members through formal and 
informal channels
Builds Positive Interpersonal Relationships
Fosters  a sense of identity and pride in JIS online applications and among the 
 Technology TeamMaintains  an open attitude toward new ideasCollaborates  with
