-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi,
I'm working on a small library for parsing polyphred xml output with bio and hxt. I've tried using cabal-dev to manage my library's dependencies, but I get the following error: {0}dfornika@behemoth:~/Code/darcs/polyphred-xml$ cabal-dev install Resolving dependencies... cabal: cannot configure bio-0.5.0.1. It requires binary ==0.4.* For the dependency on binary ==0.4.* there are these packages: binary-0.4, binary-0.4.1, binary-0.4.2, binary-0.4.3, binary-0.4.3.1 and binary-0.4.4. However none of them are available. binary-0.4 was excluded because hxt-9.1.4 requires binary >=0.5 && <1 binary-0.4.1 was excluded because hxt-9.1.4 requires binary >=0.5 && <1 binary-0.4.2 was excluded because hxt-9.1.4 requires binary >=0.5 && <1 binary-0.4.3 was excluded because hxt-9.1.4 requires binary >=0.5 && <1 binary-0.4.3.1 was excluded because hxt-9.1.4 requires binary >=0.5 &&<1 binary-0.4.4 was excluded because hxt-9.1.4 requires binary >=0.5 && <1 Does anyone have a suggestion for the best way to resolve this? I realize that down the road I'll probably need to switch from bio to biocore, but I'm not ready to re-factor like that yet. Is there a reason that bio depends specifically on binary==0.4.* and not something like binary>=0.4?
