I've now uploaded the StAX code to a new sourceforge
project:

There's just code in CVS at the moment. File releases and
a tutorial coming soon...
I hope this will become the definitive development
version, and we can remove the version currently in
the BioJava source tree (as happened with the bytecode
generation library).
For anyone (Michael?) who's interested in working on the StAX code
(or helping out with a website/tutorial/whatever), just
drop me a sourceforge ID and I'll add you to the developer
group.
There's also going to be a mailing list at some point -- but
that takes a while to create.
