Hello prospective GSoC students,

A have seen a few project plans so far and none of them seems to go into the trouble of providing the formulas for the calculations. Yet, it would have definitely strengthened your proposal if you can demonstrate that you are capable of extracting this information from the web and/or scientific papers. That said you do not have to include everything in your proposal but at least show that you know where to find what you need. There is the balance here to strike and this is something that is going to set you apart.

I'd like to stress that the ideal student for this project should not only be a good Java programmer but have a keen interest in Bioinformatics! So please feel free to extend the original idea as you see fit.

Good luck with your applications,
Peter

P.S.
The project plan is if of cause yours and you should decide whether to include anything from the above or leave it, this is only an advice.
