Candy, is dandy, but Liquor, is quicker. A child is fed with milk and praise. But childhood prolonged, cannot remain a fairyland. It becomes a hell. The very substance of the ambitious is merely the shadow of a dream. The budget evolved from a management tool into an obstacle to management. Ours is the only country deliberately founded on a good idea. One chance is all you need. You cannot simultaneously prevent and prepare for war. We must build dikes of courage to hold back the flood of fear. Anger is a wind which blows out the lamp of the mind. Whatever one believes to be true either is true or becomes true in one's mind. One may as well be asleep as to read for anything but to improve his mind and morals, and regulate his conduct. Nothing is worth doing unless the consequences may be serious. To profit from good advice requires more wisdom than to give it. A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. The best criticism doesn't trap an employee or child in a dead end. It gives them an escape route. Every man becomes, to a certain degree, what the people he generally converses with are. Most people would rather give than get affection. Boredom: the desire for desires.
