The 2006 Annual Meeting of the Institute of Biological Engineering (IBE) will be held from March 10 through 12, 2006 at the Hilton Tucson East in Tucson, Arizona, USA. The theme of the meeting is "Biology-Inspired Engineering", with Jay D. Keasling as the Keynote Speaker on Friday, March 10. Friday afternoon during the Bio-Business Nexus session, new innovated bio- based products will be showcased. Winners of the first IBE conducted Bioethics Essay Contest for undergraduate and graduate students will be announced at the general session on Saturday, March 11. The 11th Annual Meeting will be a distinctive occasion for attendees to collaborate in education, research and economic activities.
