bird: KIF: Invalid broadcast address 255.255.255.255 for em1

Hi Fellow BIRD users,

It appears that BIRD does not fully appreciate RFC3021 style addresses
on Ubuntu 15.04, when I start BIRD:

        syslog:Nov 10 15:25:15 eunetworks-2 bird: KIF: Invalid broadcast 
address 255.255.255.255 for em1
        syslog:Nov 10 15:25:15 eunetworks-2 bird: KIF: Invalid broadcast 
address 255.255.255.255 for p2p2.1003

        root@eunetworks-2: # ip -4 addr show dev em1

Should I configure the Linux side of things differently or is this
something that needs resolving in BIRD itself?
