On the way to the Brantford Airport, I counted two dozen wild turkeys in the field on the west side of the 403, just one kilometre east of Oak Park Road (as I traveled west from Hamilton toward Hwy 24). The turkeys were right next to the highway fence, the largest flock I have ever seen!
After circling the airport area for nearly an hour, including looking around the Freezer company property, I started just scanning every property. I found four Gray Partridges by a cedar tree at the Airport Community (Social?) Center at the corner of 53 and Airport Road. Directions: take highway 403, exit at Rest Acres Road (Highway 24) and go south. Go left on hwy 53 and look everywhere around the airport area buildings. Good birding!
