Hi Everyone!

The WILD TURKEYS were close to the road this afternoon of the same field and
location as yesterday scratching the ground covered with manure and some
were perched up in the trees. At one point a WILD TURKEY flew up crossing
the road in front of us perching on a branch on the other side of the road.
It is amazing how tame they are.

I sighted 1 GREAT BLUE HERON, dead, blowing in the wind and dangling under
one of the nests in the top of the trees in the HERONRY on Taunton Rd. west
of Altona Rd. Does any one know how long it has been hanging there and how
we can get it down before the others return to use the nests again?

1 MERLIN caught a male NORTHERN CARDINAL in the air banging into the kitchen
window. We had some mixed feelings about that one. Last week our
neighbor's cat jumped up from the ground and caught a female HOUSE FINCH.

Directions: Take Taunton Rd. till you arrive between the turn offs of Orono
and Bowmanville. Take Taunton Rd. west through Oshawa till you pass Altona
Rd. and on the north side of taunton is the HERONRY.
