There were a flock of Brewer's Blackbirds this morning around 11:00 AM on the Town Line, the road that leads directly to the viewing tower at MacGregor Point Provincial Park. They were in the fields on the upper part of the road before you go down the hill.
Close to the viewing tower in the Duck's Unlimited Marsh were 2 Wood Ducks, and 2 Hooded Mergansers. The Great Blue Herons have returned to the bird sanctuary on Chantry Island along with a lone Bald Eagle that sits in the highest nest, right of lighthouse in the large thicker clump of trees. A scope would be helpful. The Town Line Road can be found off Highway 21, approximately 6 K, South of Port Elgin. Turn right at the corner where the defunct Buy-Right Gas station is found. Proceed towards the Lake. The birds were on the right, in a tree and on the ground in the fields. Chantry Island can be viewed by going down Beach Street right to the Lake.
