Wednesday. This morning in the Pinery. Tundra Swans were leaving to the North -West at an altitude of approximately 1000M. Also there were four new 'sparrows' for the year-- CHIPPING, FIELD, WHITE-THROAT and TOWHEE at the Visitor Center feeders. It was while watching the sparrows that a raptor, flying along the ridge about 50M away bored into the NE. head wind. The bird turned out to be a GYRFALCON. At the speed that it was moving it will be on the Bruce this afternoon. The Pinery Provincial Park is South of Grand Bend on Highway 21. West of London Ont.
