On the night of April 17th (Thursday), Brian Pfrimmer and I were again
atlassing in the Huntsville area. This night we made several stops west of
Novar in less than ideal conditions. However, on our second stop a BARRED
OWL came in to taped calls and eventually began calling. This owl was found
by travelling about 1.5 km west of Novar on Boundary Road to Long Lake Road
and going north for about 1.5 km to the woodpile on the west side of the
road. This location is at 634867E, 5034706N (NAD 83). Novar is about 15 km
north of Huntsville on Hwy. 11 on the boundary of Parrry Sound and Muskoka
District Municipalities.
