A first spring male Indigo Bunting has been visiting a feeder at Orient Bay,
north of Nipigon, Thunder Bay District Ontario, since April 1 (Bill
Winterburn).

This may be an overwintering bird. Bill thinks it could have been overlooked
earlier in the winter if it was brown, without blue markings.

A first year male Indigo Bunting successfully overwintered at Birch Beach
(between Thunder Bay and Nipigon) the winter of 1986-87.
