Hi All,
The Willet Steve Charbonneau and I found yesterday was still at Rondeau Park
on the Bay side south of the dock behind the store. It was later seen a
ways down the marsh trail on the mudflats.
There was a better showing of birds today, including a White-eyed Vireo we
found on south point trail along the beach. Also on south point was a male
Pine Warbler and a couple of Black-throated Green Warblers, and a female
Purple Finch.
Marsh Trail had the most birds this morning, including 2 Palm Warblers, 2
Pine Warblers, and about 10 Yellow-rumped Warblers. Also seen were two
Sandhill Cranes, raising hopes of possible nesting birds. Raptors included
a Broad-winged, Cooper's and a Red-tailed.
(Marsh trail is on your right side a little past the store(not open) as you
head into the park).
