At about 8:00 P.M. on April 27, I observed a single Pied-billed grebe among
the reeds near the eastern shore of the Rideau River across from Strathcona
Park (in what is called Riverain Park). Otherwise just the regular residents
(black, mallard, common merganser, ring-billed gulls).

Riverain Park runs down the eastern shore of the Rideau for about one
kilometer south of the Cummings Bridge, which joins Rideau Street and
Montreal Road in central Ottawa.
