There were very few birds in Thickson's during the morning of Apr.28.
However, Karl Jennewein did have a Swainson"s Thrush and Lincoln's Sparrow
just inside the entry portal. Other birds included Winter Wren, Hermit
Thrush, Yellow-rumped Warbler and a Palm Warbler. The Garter Snakes are back
in the southeast corner.
In the fields south of the Lynde Shores C.A. woodlot three of us spotted a
Palm Warbler and Savannah Sparrow, and in Cranberry Marsh there was a Ruddy
Duck. Leopard Frogs are calling loudly.

Thickson's Woods is near the base of Thickson's Rd., accessed from the 401
in Whitby.
Lynde Shores C.A. is east of Lakeridge Rd. along Bayly-Victoria in west
Whitby.
