Birding was tough today, few birds but many rambunctious teenagers (are there any other kind) about. However, surprisingly, there was a Yellow-breast Chat foraging between the upper slope of the Riverdale Farm, near where the manure is stored, and over the fence into the Necropolis, near the fenceline and the storage sheds. I had a few quick peeks before the aforementioned adolescents scared it off.

Also many White-crowned and White-throated Sparrows, Kinglets, 2 Black and White Warblers and at least 2 Nashville Warblers. If you go on a good warbler fallout day you will usually have a much larger variety of warblers. Brown Thrashers and Northern Flickers are also usually present.

Directions:

The Riverdale Farm and Necropolis can be found at the far eastern end of Winchester Street, east of Parliament Street in Toronto. You can park on the road. The Chat was seen right at the end of this road just inside the white gates to the upper path of the Riverdale Farm, and across the fence in the Necropolis. Both the Farm and Necropolis are usually open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
