Breeding plumaged adult EARED GREBE was still to be found at the Exeter
lagoons this morning. It was in the North/West cell, still hanging out with
a raft of Ruddy ducks.
Exeter lagoons are located northwest of Exeter, about 30 miles north of
London. Go north on highway # 4 to 83 highway. Go west one concession and
turn south. Entrance is about a quarter mile on the left. Just a reminder
that the lagoons are posted "No Trespassing" but a no charge birding pass
can be obtained at the Town Office at the corner of Main and Sanders during
business hours. Passes are good for a calendar year. Park outside the
lagoons and walk in.
