Bud Rowe and Joel Ellis sighted the Common Eider previously reported at Prince Edward Point. The bird was seen today at 11:30 a.m. from the lookout, 0.4 km from the Duck Dive Charters building at #5535, County Road 13. A check of 15 or so vultures did not turn up the Black Vulture reported by David Okines at the Prince Edward Point Observatory location yesterday.
To get to prince Edward Point, take either of junctions 522, 544, or 566 from the 401 to Picton, head south on county road 17, take a left on to CR 16 to Black River, turn right and follow this road (CR 13) to the end of the road.
