As I didn't see any postings regarding Saturday's sightings from Waverly
Beach, Ft. Erie, Ontario; the following are my sightings between 8 a.m. - 3
p.m. .....
Winds were initially light SW switching to strong westerly by mid-day.
Waves 0.5 to 2 m. Visibility excellent but with some heat haze and spray as
the winds picked up.
1 Pomarine Jaeger (age not determinable); possible the same bird seen
yesterday by John Lamey
2 Forster's Tern
1 Common Tern
1 Caspian Tern
1 Phalarope sp.
15 - 20 Bonaparte's Gull (mostly juveniles)
1 Swallow species (Cliff/Cave type); also seen by Mike King. Observed
rapidly flying overhead eastward.
No Least Tern flyby.
