About noon Sept 25, Maureen Riggs brought to my attention, a white goose
among the Canadas we were scoping in the harbour at West Lake, Wellington.
Unfortunately we were not able to get a good look before it disappeared
behind the reed bed. but we were quite sure it was a Ross. Today about 1:00
PM Jim Taylor and I had good looks at it and followed it with a scope when
it was spooked along with the Canadas. It is a Ross' Goose.

>From the Trenton area on the 401 take #33 south through Consecon and
continue on to Wellington. There is an LCBO at the corner of the street to
the dock. If it cannot be seen from the dock, back up the road a bit beside
a bait ,etc, store and a better view can be had.
