I spotted 6 American pipits on the Beaverton pier yesterday. I watched one
grab a large spider and thrash it around before eating it.

Beaverton is about 50 minutes north of Whitby following hwy. 12 or 70
minutes north-east of Toronto following the 404 to Davis Drive east then hwy
48 north to Durham 23. Once in the thriving metropolis of Beaverton drive
toward the lake (west) on Simcoe St. until it ends at a parking lot for a
nice little breakfast spot (Hobbes Hollow) and the boat launch. Park here
and walk out to the pier.
