Again today the GC and RC Kinglets are everywhere. They tend to come in waves and at that time they just swarm around you as they concentrate on feeding. The Kinglets are also accompanied by numerous Brown Creepers.
Also sighted were White-throated and White-crowned Sparrows, Hermit Thrushes, a Dark-eyed Junco, Eastern Phobee, Winter Wrens, a Blue-headed Vireo plus a Magnolia Warbler. Take the Christie St. exit off the QEW. Turn northward at the light. Rt. at the light at Olive St.(Tim Horton's at corner). East on Olive St. to Ontario St. Parking lot on rt. corner. Walk across to NW corner and follow path down into valley. Trail may be followed to wooden bridge over the creek then to lake. Alternative: East on Olive St. to Elizabeth St. then left to end which leads to parking lot at lake and mouth of 40 Mile Ck. Follow trail southward along creek into the Carolinian woods. Path will cross creek via wooden bridge and to the better birding area.
