Winds were moderate to strong out of the north-northwest. Observations: Another excellent TV flight was recorded but there were no large numbers seen for other species, perhaps because of the predominantly cloudy conditions. However there were some very good views of birds including a juvenile light morph Rough-leg and a sub-adult Golden Eagle. Because of yesterdays west winds, there was an extensive mud flat present at Point Mouillee today. Many shorebirds were in attendance including American Golden Plover and Long-billed Dowitcher. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Calvin Brennan ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) SMRR- Lake Erie Metropark information may be found at: http://www.smrr.net/ The primary site used by Southeastern Michigan Raptor Research (SMRR) is the Boat Launch at Lake Erie Metropark located approximately 20 miles south of Detroit, Michigan.
